Kristina Werner’s Color Challenge #53

KW53 Colors

I bought a Fiskars “Drop” squeeze punch awhile back on clearance with the intention of one day using it in some clever way.   I built the parrot from many individual punches which I ran through my Big Shot for texture.  I inked them up a little to show the 3D effect.  It is 85F outside and instead of going to the beach I am cooped up inside making this card!  Can you tell I am addicted?

Bunny is quietly resting.   He let me borrow his blog again.   Aloha from Pearl City, Hawaii, Bunny’s Mom, Julie

Kristina Werner’s Color Inspiration #50

This is my first successful attempt to submit to one of Kristina’s Color Inspiration challenges.  I tried to follow a Hot Air Balloon theme I saw on a 1,000 piece puzzle box.  Since I have bunnies in the basket, I used the Hoppy Birthday sentiment.  The brown ink on the balloon was embossed with clear powder with crystals, but the photo doesn’t show the sparkle effects.   Also the oval is a window and the balloon is mounted on the inside and is popping through.  Looking forward to the next challenge!  Bunny’s Mom, Julie
