Kristina Werner’s Color Challenge #53

KW53 Colors

I bought a Fiskars “Drop” squeeze punch awhile back on clearance with the intention of one day using it in some clever way.   I built the parrot from many individual punches which I ran through my Big Shot for texture.  I inked them up a little to show the 3D effect.  It is 85F outside and instead of going to the beach I am cooped up inside making this card!  Can you tell I am addicted?

Bunny is quietly resting.   He let me borrow his blog again.   Aloha from Pearl City, Hawaii, Bunny’s Mom, Julie

Kristina Werner’s Color Inspiration #50

This is my first successful attempt to submit to one of Kristina’s Color Inspiration challenges.  I tried to follow a Hot Air Balloon theme I saw on a 1,000 piece puzzle box.  Since I have bunnies in the basket, I used the Hoppy Birthday sentiment.  The brown ink on the balloon was embossed with clear powder with crystals, but the photo doesn’t show the sparkle effects.   Also the oval is a window and the balloon is mounted on the inside and is popping through.  Looking forward to the next challenge!  Bunny’s Mom, Julie

Kristina Werner Color Inspiration #47

This is the cover page of a mini scrapbook made with coffee filters.  Colored cardstock is mounted on both sides of each filter and the journal pages are slipped in between.  The journal page is not part of the challenge.  Using the orange cardstock I crumpled the carrot  shaped paper, added the dark lines to make them look realistic and mounted them with some heigth.   I punched two holes along the edge and used chocolate eyelets to feed the tan ribbon through.  This will serve as the book binding.  The bunny stamp was embossed and mounted on the front.  Guess whose pictures will be displayed throughout the mini book?  Of course, my Orange Smile Bunny!   He gets his smile from the carrots he loves!  This is his first day as a blogger and we are still learning.  Oh, by the way, he eats his carrots in Pearl City, HI.   Aloha from his Mommy!
